Carrie Markham devotes her practice to civil litigation.
Having practiced at one of the largest law firms in Atlanta, Alston & Bird, LLP, after graduating magna cum laude from Mercer University in 2005, Carrie was given the tools and training required to advise clients in all manner of business law matters.
Carrie Markham has served as counsel in a variety of cases in state and federal court, including successful representation of developers in bank litigation, successful representation of employers in Fair Labor Standards Act litigation, and successful representation of clients in a wide variety of commercial civil disputes. In addition, Carrie has been successful on appeal in a wide variety of cases to both the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court.
While in law school at Mercer, Carrie Markham was a member of the Mercer Law Review and served as the Georgia Survey Editor. During law school, she served as a summer intern for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Carrie is admitted to all courts in the State of Georgia, including the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals. She also practices in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the United States Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit.
Carrie is a sustaining member of the Newnan Junior Service League. She is a graduate of the 2010-2011 Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce Leadership Coweta class. She is also an active member of Central Baptist Church in Newnan. Carrie currently resides in Newnan with her husband and two sons.
