George C. RosenzweigProviding peerless representation of clients in transactions, negotiations, and litigation in all federal and state courts for almost 40 years, George C. Rosenzweig is one of south Metro Atlanta’s and west Georgia’s most accomplished legal practitioners.

George started his practice in Newnan in 1975 where he handled a wide variety of litigation and transactional matters including criminal defense, domestic relations, collections, bankruptcies (debtor, creditor, and Trustee), and real estate matters.  Over the years, his practice has increasingly focused on complex civil litigation (utilizing his all-inclusive legal experience) both at the trial level and on appeal.  In recent years, George has assisted clients with alternate dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation and arbitration.

Although always committed to maintaining a small town firm practice, George has been the attorney to hire in high-profile litigation matters often involving complex and novel legal principles.  This has led him to appear in all courts and, at times, he has made presentations before governmental organizations to protect client’s property interests.  A steadying influence on seemingly out of control or thought to be unwinnable cases, George has often brought stability to hot button political and economic legal matters.  This has led George to act as the expert representative for clients in the media helping to control the flow of information and shape client’s positions in the court of public opinion.

George’s comprehensive approach to the practice of law leaves no stone unturned and takes advantage of all the tools available including an extensive law library.  This means that by surrounding himself with a team of experienced professionals, lawyers, and experts, George C. Rosenzweig can provide an unparalleled level of representation unique to Atlanta’s south side giving clients the best services available anywhere.

Significant trial victories include civil RICO defense, defense of elected official recall petition, defense of two substantial environmental cases, and the defense and prosecution of commercial litigation on behalf of lenders, builders, and developers.  Significant published opinions in appellate cases include Coweta County v. City of Senoia, 275 Ga. 707; Town of Tyrone v. Tyrone LLC, 275 Ga. 383; Preferred Sites LLC v. Troup County, 296 F.3d 1210; Hawthorn Environmental Preservation Association v. Coleman, 551 F. 2nd 1055; Group EMF, Inc. v. Coweta County, 131 F. Supp. 2d 1335; CPI Plastics, Inc. v. USX Corporation, 22 F. Supp. 2d 1373, 1999 WL 33633079, 1999 WL 33647878, 212 F.3d 595, 220 F.3d 594.  Significant settlements include negotiation of the resolution of a long-term dispute between local governments on an intergovernmental contract, settlement of a case for a client catastrophically injured by a falling tree on government-owned property, and favorable resolution of numerous partner, shareholder, and family estate disputes.

Mr. Rosenzweig is the holder of the prestigious peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell of AV (preeminent).
